Welcome to WAM Worthing Parent Group

Who are we?

W.A.M. (Working Association of Mothers) is a self-help organisation run by parents. Worthing WAM has been running since the 1940's with a membership of around 50-60 families.

 What do we do?

We are a group or parents who meet up every week with our babies/toddlers/children or sometimes the adults will meet in the evening for a meal or DVD night.  Our group provides an opportunity to meet parents in your local area, to play and chat and perhaps help in a practical way and if you have just moved into the area we can offer a friendly welcome.  We publish a newsletter every two months with details of events and local information, recipes etc.  Typical events would be coffee mornings, toddler mornings, bring a dish nights, quiz nights, trips the cinema/theatre, pamper nights, Christmas night out for mums. Each area will have a children's party paid for by central funds. Lots of our parents have been members for over 10 years and have many very good friends in WAM.

 Where are we?

Worthing WAM has three groups covering the Worthing area:-

Broadwater/Tarring

Central and East Worthing
